Privacy

There is no sign-up, no password and no profile of you anywhere but in your own browser. The site does not ask for an email address and has nowhere to put one.

Your answers — the name you gave, how you asked to be spoken of, your birth date, hour and place, what sent you here, and which hand you write with and showed — are saved in this browser’s local storage.

Readings are no longer made on this site. Any made here before — the text, a downscaled copy of the photograph and the two pictures painted for it — are still in that same local storage and nowhere else. “Forget this one” and “Forget them all” delete them, and so does clearing your browser data.

Your answers do not leave it. The reading itself is made in the Faterya application, from a photograph you take there — this site never asks for one and has no camera of its own. Nothing you answer here is sent to a server of ours, because there is no server of ours to send it to.

While you type a birthplace, what you have typed is sent to Photon, an open geocoder over OpenStreetMap data, so it can suggest towns. Only those letters travel — no other answer of yours goes with them — and you may ignore the suggestions and type the place yourself.

The site records how far people get through the questions, so the parts that lose them can be mended. Each step reports that it was reached, along with how you asked to be spoken of, your year of birth, and your town when you picked it from the suggestions — never your name, and never the answers in full. Asking for the application at the end is counted too, and which of the two stores was pressed.

Where a measurement tool is configured for this site, those records are passed to it, and it may set its own cookies. Nothing else on the site sets cookies, and there is no advertising.

Nothing is sold here and no payment is taken. Where a reading is paid for in the application, the card is handled there by its payment provider and never reaches this site.

Clearing this browser’s data for the site removes every trace of you from it: answers, any older reading, its pictures and any unlock. There is nothing left elsewhere for us to delete on your behalf.
